Online moneymakers, couponers, and frugal babes: did you know that the apps you use to scan your receipts for rewards can stack with each other? You can submit one receipt to any/most all of the receipt scanning apps and receive credit on each. Stacking your cashback lets you save even more on your grocery (and other) shopping.

Interested in getting in on this reward double dipping? I’ve compiled a list of all of the best receipt scanning rewards/cash back apps below:

General Receipts

Not all receipt scanning apps are created equal, especially when it comes to how they reward users. Some apps only offer points for receipts from specific stores or certain types of purchases. There are, however, a few that take a more inclusive approach. These apps reward you for receipts from almost any store—whether it’s a grocery run, a coffee shop, or an online retailer. No matter where you shop, you’ll earn rewards simply by scanning or uploading your receipts, making it easier for users to accumulate points without worrying about where they shop or what they buy. This more flexible model is perfect for those who want to maximize their rewards without being limited by store preferences or purchase categories.

Amazon Shopper Panel

Amazon is by far the highest paying receipt scanning app. They started out paying one dollar per receipt for ten receipts per month. However, recently this changed and their offers are lower and depend on the type of store the receipt is from. This app does not offer a referral or sign up bonus, but pays directly to your Amazon account gift card balance every month you submit your receipts.

Coinout

Coinout, as featured on Shark Tank, is a general receipt scanning app. Meaning, you can submit receipts from any in-store purchase so long as it includes the itemized prices, total, store, and date. You can also connect you email and multiple online retailer accounts to sync your receipts automatically. CoinOut has a level system; the higher your level, the more you earn per receipt, as well as the addition of different cash out options. Cash out to Amazon gift cards, Zelle, or Paypal.

Receipt Hog

Receipt Hog is another general / grocery-aligned receipt scanning app. With Receipt Hog, however, you are rewarded points for grocery and household receipts, and ‘spins’ for all other receipts. ‘Spins’ allow users to play the in-app slot machine game that rewards in points. For each qualifying receipt you upload, you will also receive one sweepstakes entry. Receipt Hog does offer an unspecified referral reward, so be sure to sign up with code giv14334 to get yours. Cash out to Amazon, Visa, or PayPal.

ReceiptPal

ReceiptPal stands out from other apps in a few ways. Like the others, you can connect your email and retailer accounts to automatically sync your receipts. What sets it apart, though, is that it rewards receipts from any store equally. While there’s a limit to the number of receipts you can earn points for, you’ll still receive sweepstakes entries for any additional receipts. Currently, there’s no referral program available. You can cash out your points for Amazon or retail gift cards.

Frisbee

Frisbee is the latest receipt rewards app to hit the market and I have personally verified that it, along with all of the other mentioned apps, do in fact pay out. They accept paper reciepts and e-receipts through multiple available linked retailer accounts. Join with invite code k90rc to get a bonus on your first receipt.

ReceiptJar

ReceiptJar is quite similar to the previously mentioned five apps. They pay per receipt based on total amount spent, award points for receipts from linked retailer accounts, and allows users to cash out to PayPal or various different gift cards via Tremendous. Sign up with code BRITWTP23 for a 200 point sign up bonus on your first receipt.

REBATES ON RECEIPTS

Receipt scanning apps that offer item-specific rebates are a great way to maximize rewards on your everyday purchases. These apps provide cashback or points for buying specific products, and are often used in conjunction with coupons or store promotions to maximise savings. By scanning your receipt and matching eligible items, you can earn rewards that can be used to offset the price of the item. This strategy allows you to stack discounts and get the most out of your shopping trips, making it easier than ever to save money while earning rewards. Whether it’s popular brands or sale items, these apps help you get rewarded for what you already buy.

Fetch

Fetch is kind of a middle ground between the rebates and general receipts categories. Fetch offers a base amount of points per receipt – even if no sponsored items were purchased – and automatically scans the receipts’ list of items purchased for rebates and awards you any points found instantly. You can cash out to Amazon, Visa, and other gift cards. Sign up with code B0MJR for a 250 point bonus on your first receipt.

Ibotta

Ibotta is a couponing aficionado’s best friend. You search their online database of in-app rebates, choose the rebates you want to use, scan your receipt containing said rebate item, and scan the item’s barcode to get the rebate(s). No per-receipt reward, but they do occasionally offer ‘any item’ bonuses with receipt scans. Cash out to your bank account, PayPal, or gift cards when you hit $20. Sign up with code uvsfkuv for a $5 bonus on your first receipt scan.

Merryfield

Co-founded by ‘New Girl’ star Zooey Deschanel, Merryfield rewards users for buying healthy foods. Scan in your receipts and they’ll reward you for every good food choice you made (within their list of accepted brands and offers). If no items matching current offers are found, you will receive 10 points per uploaded receipt.

Checkout 51

Checkout 51 is similar to Ibotta in that you select the offers you want to use, purchase the corresponding items, and then scan your receipt for cashback. While it doesn’t have as many offers as Ibotta, it’s still a great app for finding rebates that you can stack. Additionally, if you opt in, Checkout 51 frequently offers location-based rewards through ads.
